goodbye.JPG (60457 bytes)When I started this Web site in 2001, there were only a few Damian Lewis Web sites, none with a comprehensive biography. I figured I could slap together a one-page biography and if it got 500 hits (which I considered a sky-high number), I would call it a success. I also promised myself I'd keep the site up to date.

Today: Five years later, 13 separate pages and more than 400,000 hits.

Whatever I might have hoped to achieve, I've done it. This site, and related Damian sites, have introduced me to wonderful people across the globe, healed me in rough times, gave me excuses to travel, and encouraged me to do more with myself.

I've had a truly marvelous time.

However, in the meantime my off-screen life has gotten (delightfully) more complicated. I've fallen woefully behind on the up-to-date part of this project.  As much as I would like to keep this site going, I have to be honest about my time commitments. Something has to give. (It was either that or give up my brand-new husband, and he was totally not keen on that idea.)

Today, the fifth anniversary of the site, seems an apt time.  I always did like symmetry.

I give this up reluctantly.  But I know that the job of providing Damian-related information is being done to beautifully comprehensive effect at Damian-Lewis.com. You should go see it.   They have kindly agreed to provide a good home for the Forsyte Saga recaps, which will be posted there within the next few weeks (...OK, maybe months).

To all the Damian fans, thank you.  Thank you for everything.

To Damian, it's been simply marvelous. All best wishes for rousing, heart-filling success, on-stage and off.

Curahee!
